DATING

 

Dating: It is an art. It defines the human race. Marriage compatibility is ascertained through dating. We can rightly say that dating is ' Marriage 'Histocompatibility Complex (MHC). People generally believe that no two people should date unless, with a view to marriage, that is a story for another day. Today I will be talking about the relationship 'gassing'.

Some people go about telling the whole world about their relationship, updating pictures on social media, changing relationship status on Facebook too: "In a relationship with so so and so", telling everyone who cares to listen that they are dating so or so person.



Showing off your relationship, or what some people refer to as 'gassing' has advantages. It feels very good to know that the person you are dating is so proud of you that He/She is eager to show you off to the world. This fosters trust and gives both parties that 'we-are-into-each-other' feeling. But just like every other thing in life, there are disadvantages attributed to relationship 'gassing':

Publicizing your relationship, literally places both of you on the tip of the tongue of everyone around. . People will always be observing, scavenging for gist like antioxidants do for free radicals😂 and searching for rumours to generate. This is dangerous to your relationship.

'Gassing' puts both of you under pressure. Unless both of you belong to the 'I don't care, group of Homosapiens, you will always be seeking to impress the insatiable 'crowd of witnesses'. This can be frustrating and time-consuming

For the guys, if at all something happens and the relationship falls apart, everybody will hold you to ransom. You are the devil of the show whether you like it or not. We always hear terms like: "You used that girl and dumped her abi". No one cares to ask who used who.

Finally, for the girl.......it is a little bit more difficult for a girl to establish a new 'long lasting' relationship after a major breakup. People tend to view a girl that just left a long, well-publicized relationship as a "used tool, second hand, Okrika, bend down select"..... blame it on our society. So, chances are: It will be easier for the guy to find new love than for the girl.

Publicizing (gassing) your relationship is sweet, but the outcome can be devastating. The cons far outweigh the pros.
Why wait for the train, when you can easily take the bus?

IN SUMMARY, FIND A BOO, AND JUST DON'T TELL 'NOBODY' ABOUT IT.....ENJOY YOUR RELATIONSHIP IN PEACE
