If politics is separated from governance in Nigeria and Africa at large, the game will be as boring and scary as taking a lonely walk around the cemetery.

If a political appointment is by merit in Nigeria and Africa, not compensation based on how many people you were able to intimidate, whacked and slit their throats to dead just to garnish supporters for your BOSS, many will be street beggars.

But in my dear country reverse is the case.
For this very reason, many young people resort to joining one blood-tasty evil fraternity or the other whether luck will find them one day.

Many have toured this path and have become Personal assistants, Special assistants, Commissioners, etc, to political office holders and some are the occupant of political offices.

Sad that mediocre is celebrated!

Little wonder the university is on strike without any frantic effort by the government toward ending the strike or giving a listening ear to the cry of the poor masses.

Well, I left that in the hands of posterity to judge.

I woke up this beautiful morning to this news about one pronounced politician in Akwa Ibom state, a People's Democratic Party (PDP)  senator aspirant flying on social media like Russian missiles on Ukraine's space. (My heart goes to Ukrainians)

Though many expressed their views while many rained down their grievances and disappointment over his disqualification by the party screening community.

Others viewed it as a well-cooked but cheap political miscue to blackmail
and demoralised him and kill his political career.

After carefully reading through a few posts, I reminisce within myself and am poised to ask a few questions.

If truly his credentials are incomplete as they claim, how was he an officer in the Nigerian customs service for more than 24 years?

Who, why, and how was he screened in the Statehouse of Assembly and served as commissioner for works for more than 6 years and later chief of staff under the same governor who is under the People's Democratic Party (PDP) umbrella?

If zoning doesn't favour him in the state, why favour others?

Well, we could remember that a few months ago, he had a misunderstanding with the governor and was relieved from his duty abruptly without warning.
Could that be the reason the wave is against him?

Well, time will tell.
